What type of chip do you print on?
We print on a 11.5 gram ABS composite chip with 8 stripe design. (8 stripes going around the edge).
This type of chip provides an excellent quality feel at a reasonable price.
Do you print on stickers?
Many "custom chipmakers” print the inlay for your chips on office supply paper labels with little or no lamination. That image appears cheap and is not the quality you are looking for to represent your business.
At PokerBusinessChip, we print on an industrial strength adhesive backed vinyl that is cut to the exact diameter of the chip center. Then we cover the vinyl with an 8mm polycarbonate layer, the hardest and most expensive lamination available. The lamination is the key to the durability of the print area, and we use only the best.
The polycarbonate lamination has a slightly textured feel and sometimes it will create a little distortion to the printed image. That is why we encourage you to use the largest font and clearest image possible as a starting point.
We do have a lower quality laminate that is actually a glossy, clear vinyl. Although something like a photo will appear more crisp with the glossy clear vinyl, it doesn't hold up as well and can make the poker chip look a little cheaper. Also, there will be a slight ridge between the edge of the inlay and the chip base.
There are pros and cons for both types of laminate, but we feel that using the more expensive polycarbonate and sacrificing image quality a little is the best balance for long term.
Can I customize the edges of the chip?
No. We only print in the center portion of the chip. The edge stripe designs are already part of the chip. We currently have gray, red, green, blue, and black stripe chips.
Do you print on both sides of the chip?
Yes, our prices include printing on both sides of the chip.
Does it cost more to use multiple images
The price shown includes up to 2 images per set. This means the front and the back of the chip can be different.
If you want to print more than two images, there is a $14 per images charge.
Example:
There are 5 different sales personnel in your business. You want your business information on one side of the chip and each sales person gets 100 chips with his/her name on them. You have a total of 6 different images (company image plus 5 rep. images). The additional charge would be $56 (4 additional images in excess of the two included in the original price.)
Do you charge set up fees?
No, the price includes the set-up fee.
Do you charge design fees?
Generally, no. We help you design a professional Poker Business Chip for free. The design work includes 1 design and 2 revisions. Unusual requests or complex chips may require a design fee. We will let you know before you incur any charges.
Can I order 100 chips?
No, there is a 500-chip minimum. We will ship in 100 chip increments over the 500 chip minimum. E-mail us for pricing.
What image format is acceptable?
We prefer Illustrator or Photoshop files, but also accept .jpg, .tif, .bmp and some .gif. Photos should be hi resolution only and taken in good light with no glare.
Do you have cases and other accessories?
